Tim Pirtle has over 33 years of extensive trial experience and his time in the courtroom provides the perspective and knowledge to decide cases fairly. His areas of law consist of divorces, custody cases, criminal cases, and civil cases. Tim Pirtle's experience is what Potter County needs to help keep criminals off the street and keep our neighborhoods safe.
He will work hard to help continue the culture of strong work ethic and collaboration in the Potter County Courts. He is passionate about the law and serving our community.
Tim Pirtle's Plan
Ensure that cash bail system continues for the majority of criminal charges
Work diligently to address jail overcrowding issues in the Potter County Detention Center
Set monthly hearings to consider revocation of probation as to offenders that are not complying with condition
Clear civil cases that have been pending for an excessive time from the docket by dismissal or trial setting by the court
Maintain drug, mental and veteran's courts
Ensure that the new courthouse is appropriately designed and built to insure safety for jurors and participants
Try both civil and criminal cases as quickly and efficiently as possible
Maintain dialogue with the Potter County Probation Department to ensure compliance by offenders with probation requirements
Work with the Texas Indigent Defense Commission to capitalize on funding for counsel
Improve communication among the Potter County District Courts
Continue updating the quality of indigent defense lawyer pool
Will not tolerate frivolous lawsuits, parties/attorneys will face sanctions
